           HOW TO CONDUCT FAILURE ANALYSIS
                NOTICE
           Use a diagnostic apparatus to diagnose a vehicle
           1 .    Send a vehicle to a maintenance depot.
      04          Yes > Go to the next step.
           2 .    Collect and analyze the failure phenomena described by the customer.
                  Yes > Go to the next step.
           3 .    Connect the diagnostic apparatus to DLC.
                  Yes > Go to the next step.
           4 .    Check the DTC and still data.
                  Yes > Go to the next step.
           5 .    Clear the DTC and still data.
                  Yes > Go to the next step.
           6 .    Conduct visual check.
                  Yes > Go to the next step.
           7 .    Verify the failure phenomena.
                  Results (if the engine fails to start up, conduct the following “check for DTC” and
                  basic inspection)
