DIAGNOSTICS - ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM 04-389
(a) Check whether it has leakage or block in the oil inlet or not.
(b) Check whether the fuel filter is blocked or not.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>To step 7.
No >Clean and change the default parts. 04
7 . Check the cylinder pressure
(a) Perform the test of cylinder compression pressure.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>To step 9.
NO >To step 8.
8 . Check the engine valve timing
(a) heck whether the engine timing gear mark is aligned, damaged or not, the belt is loose,
detaching or not.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>To step 9.
No > Perform the alignment operation of the timing chin or change the timing chain.
9 . Check the motor machinery
(a) Use an endoscope to observe the in-cylinder condition.
(b) Observe and reflect the voltage changes.
(c) Disassemble and repair the motor internal fault.
Clean the carbon or disassemble and check the motor cylinder cover. Check the valve,
intake manifold has carbon deposition. Such as: the gap between the piston ring and
the cylinder is too tightly loosed, cylinder pad leaks, valve tube loose, valve does not
close well, and valve has carbon deposition.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>To step 10.
No >Repair the internal machinery fault of the engine.
10 . Replace ECM
(a) Replace ECM. (Refer to "Chapter 11 Engine control system, Engine control module")
(b) Check the data flow of the engine, and make sure the engine phenomenon does not
exist, the system is normal.
