10. Install the intake side balance shaft unit
(a). Install the intake side balance shaft unit
and the intake side balance shaft unit fixing
bolt (arrow direction) , and tighten the bolt
with the torque of 9± 1.4 N•m.

(b). Apply a suitable amount of lubricating oil 12C
onto the bearing pin unit and insert the unit.
The positioning pin of the bearing pin (arrow
direction) must be inserted into the hole on
the cylinder block.

(c). Align the balance shaft idle gear unit with
the intake side balance shaft unit.
PROMPT :
According to the drive ratio, these marks will be
superposed every 7 turns.

(d). Install the balance shaft idle gear unit fixing
bolt (arrow direction), tighten the bolt with
the torque of 30±4.5 N•m , and then
further tighten it by 90° ±13.5° .
