LUBRICATION - CRANKSHAFT REAR OIL SEAL 18-15

6 . Install the crankshaft rear oil seal with a
tool, and mount the new crankshaft rear
oil seal in place.
CAUTION

• Before installation, apply a thin layer of
butter to the lip of the crankshaft rear oil
seal.
• When installing, the plane of the
crankshaft rear oil seal must be flush with
its surrounding edges.

7 . Install the clutch assembly. (Refer to "Chapter 41 Clutch - Replacement, clutch
assembly")
8 . Fill up the engine oil. (Refer to "Chapter 05 Vehicle maintenance - Replacement,
engine oil replacement")
CAUTION

• After installation, drive to check whether there is oil leakage in the oil seal.
