           TURBOCHARGER

           REPLACEMENT
                CAUTION


           •      Since the supercharger is directly connected to the exhaust manifold, avoid
                  taking burns when approaching the exhaust manifold to do maintenance
                  operation.


           1 .    Drain the engine oil. (Refer to "Chapter 05 Vehicle maintenance - Replacement,
                  engine oil replacement")
           2 .    Disconnect the battery negative cable. (Refer to "Chapter 20. Starting & charging
                  - battery, replacement(MT/AT)”)
           3 .    Remove the air filter. (Refer to "Chapter 14 Intake Air - air filter assembly,
                  replacement")

                                                      4 .    Disconnect the connector of the variable
                                                             section type turbocharger electric
      21                                                     actuator.




















                                                      5 .    Loosen the clamp, disengage the
                                                             connection between the intercooler intake
                                                             pipe and the turbocharger.
                                                           CAUTION

                                                      •      In order to avoid the separation of the
                                                             intercooler intake pipe from the
                                                             supercharger after the installation, before
                                                             installation, thoroughly clean the
                                                             connecting wall of the intake pipe of the
                                                             intercooler and the connecting end of the
                                                             supercharger.
                                                      •      If the connecting clamp has been rusted
                                                             or damaged, replace it to maintain
                                                             sufficient clamping force.

                                                      6 .    Loosen the clamp, disengage the
                                                             connection of the air filter outlet pipe and
                                                             the turbocharger.
