PRESSURE BOOST - TURBOCHARGER 21-9

19 . Connect the intercooler intake pipe and
the turbocharger, tighten the fixing clamp.
CAUTION

• In order to avoid the separation of the
intercooler intake pipe from the
supercharger after the installation, before
installation, thoroughly clean the
connecting wall of the intake pipe of the
intercooler and the connecting end of the
supercharger.
• If the connecting clamp has been rusted
or damaged, replace it to maintain
sufficient clamping force.

20 . Connect the air filter exhaust pipe and the
turbocharger, tighten the fixing clamp.

21 . Reset the connector of the variable section 21
type turbocharger electric actuator.

22 . Install the air filter. (Refer to "Chapter 14 Intake Air - air filter assembly,
replacement")
23 . Connect the battery negative cable. (Refer to "Chapter 20. Starting & charging
- battery, replacement（MT/AT）”）
24 . Fill up the engine oil. (Refer to "Chapter 05 Vehicle maintenance - Replacement,
engine oil replacement")

CAUTION

• It is important to have oil in the turbine bearing housing before the engine starts.
Do a special check when installing the new supercharger.
• After installing the supercharger, the engine must idle at least 1 more minutes
so that the turbocharger lubrication line and the interior are filled with oil.
