04 (a) Ignition switch: OFF.
(b) Disconnect the battery negative cable.
(c) Disconnect the connector A026 of accelerator pedal or lever position sensor 1.
(d) Connect the battery negative cable.
(e) Ignition switch: ON.

(f) Use a multimeter to measure the voltage
between the pin 1 of accelerator pedal or lever
position sensor 1 connector A026 and the
ground.
Standard voltage

A026（1）- ground 4.75～5.25 V

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>To step 3.
No > Maintain or replace the harness.

3 . Check accelerator pedal or lever position sensor 1 harness

(a) Ignition switch: OFF.
(b) Disconnect the battery negative cable.
(c) Disconnect the connector A026 of accelerator pedal or lever position sensor 1.
(d) Disconnect connector A024 of ECM.

(e) Use a multimeter to measure the resistance
between the pin 2, 3 of accelerator pedal or
lever position sensor 1 connector A026 and
the pin 44, 56 of ECM connector A024
respectively.
