           Description
1 . The ECM provides a 5V power to oil rail pressure sensor by the sensor power
supply 1, and also provides a ground to the sensor circuit. The engine oil
pressure sensor provides a signal to the ECM through the engine oil pressure
sensor signal circuit. The sensor signal voltage will vary according to the
pressure of the main oil rail. When the engine oil pressure is high, the ECM
detects a low signal voltage. When the engine speed is high, or the engine oil
temperature is low, the ECM detects the high signal voltage. If the ECM detects
a low signal voltage, the engine oil pressure is low and the fault code is set up.
