      04     No >Maintenance related faults.

           3 .    Check battery

           (a)    Ignition switch: OFF.
           (b)    Disconnect the battery negative cable.
           (c)    Use a special instrument to check whether the battery is normal.

           Is the inspection result normal?

           YES>To step 4.
           NO> Replace the battery.

           4 .    Check the fuse related to ignition switch system

           (a)    Ignition switch: OFF.
           (b)    Disconnect the battery negative cable.
           (c)    Check whether the fuse related to ignition switch system is normal.

           Is the inspection result normal?
           YES>To step 5.

           NO>Replace the fuse.

           5 .    Check ignition switch and the wire harness
           (a)    Ignition switch: OFF.
           (b)    Disconnect the battery negative cable.
           (c)    Disconnect ignition switch connector C006.
           (d)    Check whether the ignition switch harness is normal.

           Is the inspection result normal?
           YES>To step 6.
           No >Maintenance related faults.


           6 .    Replace ignition switch
           (a)    Replace ignition switch.
           (b)    Use a diagnostic apparatus to perform DTC verification procedures.
           (c)    Implement the steps to read sensor data stream.
           (d)    Check whether DTC exists.
           Is the inspection result normal?

           YES>Replace ignition switch.
           NO >To step 7.

           7 .    Replace ECM

           (a)    Replace ECM.
           (b)    Use a diagnostic apparatus to perform DTC verification procedures.
           (c)    Implement the steps to read sensor data stream.
           (d)    Verify that no DTC exists and the data are normal.
