           Description
           1 .    The engine control module (ECM) controls the EGR valve to turn on and off
                  under different operating conditions.The EGR valve is switched on and off by
                  a DC motor which receives the voltage from the ECM by the EGR valve motor
                  signals (+) and (-) circuitry.The motor opens the EGR valve when receiving the
                  voltage is from the EGR valve motor signal (+) circuit.The motor closes the EGR
                  valve when receiving the voltage from the EGR valve motor signal (-) circuit.
