There is a rumble building on the horizon in
anticipation of the 76th Annual Sturgis® Motorcycle
Rally™. August 8-14, 2016 has the potential to be
one of the greatest and perhaps largest gathering of
motorcycle enthusiasts of all time. The time is
drawing near quickly that we will be right smack dab
in the middle of Main Street madness, celebrating
the 76th year of the Sturgis Rally.
Many of you are planning to attend this epic event
and will become a part of Sturgis® Motorcycle
Rally™ history. Sturgis offers one of the best biker
experiences in the world that is anticipated by
thousands of fans months, even years in advance.
The magic of the Hills is mesmerizing and the
roads, well; there are few places on this good earth
that offer this kind of riding.
Incredible roads like Needles Highway, Iron
Mountain Road, the Wildlife Loop, Vanocker Canyon
Road and Spearfish Canyon take you to amazing
destinations - Mount Rushmore National Memorial,
Custer State Park, Crazy Horse Memorial, Bear
Butte State Park, the Badlands and Devil’s Tower
National Monument. Highway 14A’s big, wide turns
transport you to the infamous town of Deadwood
and the mining town of Lead, and the awe inspiring
Highway 385 meanders past towns like Hill City,
Silver City and Custer, all contained in the Black
Hills National Forest. It’s breathtaking and it’s
glorious and it will make you want to return each
year.
The Sturgis® Motorcycle Rally™ is the experience
of a lifetime in a place where local people can still
show you a thing or two about hospitality and
visiting exhibitors can show you anything and
dress up your bike. Or heck, demo virtually every
kind of bike on the market - custom, V-Twin or
metric. It’s like being a kid again, in a candy store.
Only better! Because in addition to the bikes there
are concerts and races and bike shows, five blocks
of Main Street bikes-only street vibe, the 14th
Annual Mayor’s Ride, Michael Lichter’s annual
exhibit, the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of
Fame, organized rides, some pretty impressive
watering holes, custom legends, blue skies and
warm, sunny days.
The Ride is taking place on Sunday, August 7. The
Pool Party is scheduled for Tuesday, August 9.
Carey Hart is returning to the Sturgis Rally this year
after attending the 75th Sturgis® Motorcycle Rally™
as the Grand Marshall of the Mayor’s Ride. This
year, you are invited to join Carey and company to
be a part of a new charity event called the ‘Good
Ride’.
All bikes and riders are welcome to be a part of this
unique riding event. The ride will leave from Indian
Motorcycle Sturgis at 2130 Main Street in Sturgis at
10:00am on Sunday, August 7. The ride will end in
Belle Fourche where lunch will be served. All
participants will receive some sweet memorabilia in
your own swag bag. Participants will also be invited
to a one of a kind pool party hosted by Bell Helmets
on Tuesday evening at the Broken Spoke.

for the Good Ride is $176 per person. Proceeds
from this ride will benefit the Sturgis Brown High
School Welding class. Space is limited to 125 so
pre-registration is recommended.
