                 Thirdly. We would like to thank the outgoing Editor, David Stuart-Mogg,
          for his sterling work over the last twenty years. David Stuart-Mogg has been a
          meticulous editor, and a friend of Malawi whose interest in Malawi has produced
          a  number  of  papers  and  books.  Among  the  notable  highlights  of  his  Journal
          editorship are the Fr. Matthew Schoffeleers memorial edition (2011), the SoMJ ’s
            th
          70  anniversary edition and the special 2021 digital issue celebrating the life of
          the late Emeritus Professor George Shepperson, CBE. George Shepperson was an

          author  of  the  seminal  work  on  John  Chilembwe.   David  Stuart-Mogg  will
          continue, in semi-retirement, to remain with us on the editorial board.
