PENGAUDITAN KEMUDAHAN REKREASI DI TAMAN
NEGARA PULAU PINANG
AUDITING OF RECREATION FACILITIES AT THE PENANG NA-
TIONAL PARK
Pasukan audit daripada Bahagian Rekreasi Alam Semulajadi (RAS), Ibu Pejabat telah menjalankan kerja-ker-
ja pengauditan kemudahan rekreasi di lapan lokasi kawasan ekopelancongan Jabatan sepanjang tahun
2020. Pemeriksaan auditan telah dilakukan ke atas kemudahan pelawat, antaranya kaunter pendaftaran
pelawat, petugas kaunter, daftar rekod pelawat, rintis, papan tanda, kemudahan tandas, pondok tempat
berehat, kebersihan persekitaran kawasan laluan pelawat dan tapak perkhemahan serta kemudahan
tempat letak kenderaan pelawat.
Secara keseluruhannya, pihak pengurusan dikesemua kawasan ekopelancongan Jabatan telah mengurus-
kan kemudahan pelawat dengan baik dan teratur. Walaubagaimanapun terdapat beberapa kemudahan
rekreasi di kawasan ekopelancongan didapati telah rosak dan ditutup kepada pelancong. Pihak Jabatan juga
telah memperolehi peruntukan sebanyak RM 5,560,000 daripada Kementerian Pelancongan, Seni dan
Budaya (MOTAC) untuk membaikpulih jeti dan tandas yang rosak di Taman Negara Pulau Pinang. Sebanyak
RM 4,160,000 juga telah diperuntukkan daripada MOTAC Negeri Pahang untuk membina semula titian
kanopi baru di Taman Negara Pahang, Kuala Tahan bagi menggantikan jajaran titian kanopi lama yang tidak
lagi selamat untuk digunakan.
The audit team from the Nature Recreation Division (RAS) at the Department’s Headquarters had conduct-
ed audits on recreational facilities at the Department’s 8 ecotourism locations throughout the year 2020.
Audit inspections were conducted on visitor’s facilities, including registration counters for visitor, counter’s
receptionists, visitor’s registration records, trails, signages, toilet facilities, rest huts, cleanliness of the visitor’s
route areas, and campsites as well as parking spaces for visitors.
In general, the management of visitor’s facilities in all of the Department’s ecotourism sites was well and
properly governed. However, there were some findings of damaged recreational facilities in the ecotourism
areas which had to be closed to tourists. The Department had also obtained an allocation of RM
5,560,000.00 from the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) to repair damaged jetties and toilets
located in the Penang National Park. A total of RM 4,160,000.00 has also been allocated from Pahang’s
MOTAC to rebuild new canopy walkways in the Pahang National Park, Kuala Tahan to replace the old
canopy walkways that are no longer safe to use.
