Other Problems
Look how much more comfortable and balanced he looks on these shots where he can get both heels on the ground and going up at the same time.
This is not a hard tweak. It can be worked on in individual workouts by demanding it on every shot. Joel should try this and see how comfortable he is. He should get more balanced power going up which will help with balance before and after the shot. After games, we can pull all of his shots and see if it is carrying over from workout to game.
There are other issues that would require more work, but those would come afterwards. For example, Joel needs to keep his shoulder back and his butt down while loading for his shot. He has a tendency of dropping his shoulders down on the catch, which leads to a swinging motion on the way up instead of a smoother up and down motion. Another thing to look at with his follow through is him dropping his left hand early which make his body twist to the left side. I personally would prefer him keeping that left hand up as long as possible to avoid any twisting of his body.
