Joint Commission Awards CCIRH Advanced Certification for Total Hip and Total Knee Replacement
Following a rigorous onsite review, The Joint Commission issued CCIRH its Gold Seal of Approval® for Advanced Certification for Total Hip and Total Knee Replacement. The advanced certification is for Joint Commission- accredited facilities seeking to elevate the quality, consistency and safety of services and patient care.
Experts evaluated compliance with advanced disease-specific care standards and total hip and total knee replacement requirements. Criteria included orthopedic consultation, and pre-operative, intraoperative and post-surgical orthopedic surgeon follow-up care. Established in 2016 and awarded for a two-year period, the advanced certification was developed in response to the growth in joint replacement patients and increased focus on clinical evidence-based patient care.
“Achieving Advanced Total Hip and Total Knee Replacement Certification recognizes the Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital’s commitment to provide care in a safe and efficient manner for patients,” said Patrick Phelan, executive director, Hospital Business Development, The Joint Commission.
U.S. News & World Report Ranks CCIRH Among Top Florida Hospitals

hip replacement.
A Fresh New Look...Transforming the Campus to Cleveland Clinic Style
In August, the hospital began installing the Cleveland Clinic logo and new name on buildings, entranceways and directional signs throughout campus. Next: fresh paint! Inside and outside the main hospital, a gradual shift to crisp, clean white brightens the atmosphere and makes location signage easy to read from afar, as shown at right.
