               You can also join Professional Organizations that are not affiliated with the BSU. There are many
               benefits to belonging to one of these organizations. Benefits include networking, research services,
               web databases, etc.

               Association for Talent  Development (ATD  Formerly  ASTD): ATD is  a leading  association of
               workplace learning and performance professionals, forming a world-class community of practice.
               ATD's 70,000 members and associates come from more than 100 countries and thousands of
               organizations--multinational corporations, medium-sized and small businesses, government,
               academia, consulting firms, and product and service suppliers. ATD marks its beginning in 1944
               when the organization held its first annual conference.  In recent  years, ATD has widened the
               industry's focus to connect learning and performance to measurable results, and is a sought-after

               Academy of Human Resource Development: The Academy of Human Resource Development was
               formed to encourage systematic study of human resource development theories, processes, and
               practices; to disseminate information about HRD, to encourage the application of HRD research

               professional interests in HRD from multiple disciplines and  from across the  globe.

               International Organization of Social Sciences and Behavioral Research (IOSSBR): International
               Organization of Social Sciences and Behavioral Research is an international society of scholars,
               academicians,  and  practitioners  who  exchange  ideas  and  collaborate  in  a  conference
               setting. IOSSBR has a wide range of participation from various countries. In the last decade,
               IOSSBR has had participants from 35 different countries around the world.

               International Federation of Training & Development Organizations:  IFTDO is a worldwide network

               Nations Department of Public  Information in New York  and the UN's  International Labor

               International Society for Performance Improvement: Founded in 1962, the International Society for
               Performance Improvement (ISPI) is the leading international association dedicated to improving
               productivity and performance in the workplace. ISPI represents more than 10,000 international and
               chapter members throughout the United States, Canada, and 40 other countries. ISPI's mission is to
               develop and recognize the proficiency of our members and advocate the use of Human Performance
