Society for Human Resource Management: The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)
is the world's largest association devoted to human resource management. Representing more than
180,000 individual members, the Society's mission is to serve the needs of HR professionals by
providing the most essential and comprehensive resources available. As an influential voice, the
Society's mission is also to advance the human resource profession to ensure that HR is recognized
as an essential partner in developing and executing organizational strategy. Founded in 1948, SHRM
currently has more than 500 affiliated chapters within the United States and members in more than

Organization Development Institute: The Organization Development Institute is a non-profit
educational association organized in 1968 to promote an understanding of O.D. Every year we
publish The International Registry of O.D. Professionals and O.D. Handbook which lists not just
names and addresses but also the credentials of all those registered with us. We include information
on all OD/OB academic programs, O.D. Networks worldwide and the most recent edition of the
International O.D. Code of Ethics. We meet at least twice a year both inside and outside the USA to
keep our members and the public informed on recent developments in O.D.
The International Leadership Association (ILA): The global network for all those who practice,
study, and teach leadership. The ILA promotes a deeper understanding of leadership knowledge
and practices for the greater good of individuals and communities worldwide.

International Personnel Management Association: IPMA-HR is an organization that represents the
