DogHaus
My A2 project was a product to address the problem of dog’s having somewhere to stay outside in
different weather conditions, but also addressing the aesthetics for it to fit in the environment of the home.
A sheltered area was needed to look aesthetically pleasing, and also to have a representation of modern
architecture. The dog house I designed is flat pack therefore can be transported easily, this will also be
easy to assembled and disassembled, thus making it easier to recycle the material after its life span. The
dog house has a lot of shelter for the dog to be completely covered. The area outside has an extended
decking to allow the dog to lay outside whilst still being sheltered from the sun. The windows allow the dog
to look outside whilst still being sheltered. This allows the dog to be at comfort knowing they can see what
is around them. This product and concept is completely new in the dog kennel market and has a design
twist as it is very modern. The design has been inspired by the Bauhaus movement of architecture. A
special feature of this is that the consumer of the product can specifically look for a design which is
relatively similar to the architecture of their home, making the dog kennel more personal.
