If you're still "Off The Wall" for MJ, then the following news may be right up your alley...
As it turns out, director Spike Lee has been working on a titled documentary titled Michael Jackson’s Journey from Motown to Off the Wall for the past few years. The film dives into the journey of Jack- son’s days in The Jackson 5 as a child phenom to the re- lease of first non-Motown LP Off The Wall, which (arguably) catapulted him into the strato- sphere of superstardom.
The doc features interviews with the Weeknd, Quest- love, Misty Copeland, Pharrell, Kobe Bryant, Lee Daniels, Mark Ronson, John Legend, Mariah Carey, L.A. Reid, and Jack- son's parents, Katherine and Joe.
Journey from Motown (which is co-produced by the executors of MJ’s estate, John Branca and John Mc- Clain) will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on Jan- uary 24, and air on Showtime on February 5.
Physical copies of MJ’s clas- sic LP will get the re-issue treatment on February 26, the same day director Spike Lee’s documentary will be available for DVD purchase, bundled to- gether as a bundle set.
Since it's 1979 release, Off The Wall has sold more than 20 million copies worldwide.

Memphis Rapper Detained
Legendary Artist David Bowie Dies Of Cancer
From An Atlanta Bank
Bowing out with typical style, David Bowie didn’t just release his last album ‘Blackstar’ to coincide with his 69th birthday last week, on January 8 – he was using it to say goodbye to the world.
An 18-month battle with cancer that hardly anyone knew about came to tragic end Sunday (January 10), but Bowie provided bleak hints about his terminal condition for his fans and followers in what was to be the final music video of his that was to be re- leased in his lifetime.
Released only four days ago, the video for single ‘Lazarus’ was Bowie’s parting shot, opening with a blindfolded, fragile-looking Bowie laying in bed. His first words “look up here, I’m in heaven/I’ve got scars that can’t be seen” are now obviously an admission of

his ill health, rather than just a fantastical musing on mortal- ity. It soon becomes obvious that the bed he's in is a hospi- tal one and Bowie begins to float above it, signifying his transmutation to the other side – whatever, or wherever that may be.
A Memphis rapper was re- cently a victim of “banking while black” and detained after making a large transaction.
Blac Youngsta who’s signed to Yo Gotti’s label, says he was unlawfully held by authorities after taking out 200K of his own cash.
Blac Youngsta was stopped outside of an Atlanta bank after he withdrew the money on Friday.
Sam Benson, who goes by the name “Blac Youngsta,” said it all began when he stopped by a Wells Fargo bank. He said when he came out of the bank, a police officer pointed at him.
“They come bum rushing me at the car, put me on the ground, putting guns to my head, so I’m like ‘What I’d do,’” Benson said. “A lady was like I’m not supposed to have...$200,000 on me. I’m like, ‘I’m a millionaire. How can I not have $200,000 on
Blac Youngsta real name Sam Benson.
me?’”
Benson said police told
them that someone had writ- ten a bogus check previously.
Benson said police apol- ogized. He said police initially took $100,000 of his cash, but later said that he had gotten that money back. The rapper said he had withdrawn the cash to buy a new car.
