Audio Released Of Woman’s Dying Words When She Was Forced From Hospital
BLOUNTSTOWN, FL --- Barbara Dawson was insis- tent.
Newly released audio re- veals that the 57-year-old was in apparent distress, so she didn't want to leave the Cal- houn Liberty Hospital in Blountstown, Fla.
"No, no, no, no," Dawson could be heard saying repeat- edly to the officer in the clip that family attorneys released.
"Please don't let me die!" she added, insisting that she couldn't breathe.
Nonetheless, she was es- corted outside, where she col- lapsed and lay for nearly 20 minutes before she was taken back into the hospital.
The officer appeared to be- lieve that Dawson was being

"noncompliant" and just did not want to leave to go to jail.
Later, an unidentified woman could be heard saying, "Ms. Dawson, come on now. There ain't nothing wrong with you."
Dawson had reportedly gone to Calhoun Liberty on
Dec. 21, complaining of ab- dominal pain. Staff at the hos- pital examined and discharged her, but she refused to budge, saying that she wasn't feeling better. Instead of treating Dawson, hospital workers called the Blountstown Police Department. Officers hand- cuffed the 57-year-old, intend- ing to escort her out, when she started to protest.
After she collapsed, she re- mained on the ground for some 18 minutes while staff monitored her vital signs. Some 90 minutes after the of- ficer arrived, Dawson was de- clared dead.
As it turns out, Dawson died because of a blood clot in her lungs, a medical exam- iner's report revealed.

Mexican Drug Lord ‘El Chapo’ To Be Extradited To The United States
The extradition process to send drug lord Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman to the United States was started early Monday, the Mexican Attor- ney General's office an- nounced.
The drug kingpin, who was recaptured Friday after six months on the run following his escape from a Mexican prison, was issued two orders of detention for the purpose of extradition while in prison, ac- cording to the Mexican prose- cutor.
Interpol agents served Guzman with the formal or- ders at the Altiplano prison where he was being held. His legal team will have time to submit paperwork to fight ex- tradition.
He escaped from the Alti- plano prison near Mexico City July 11, where he was sent after 10 years on the run, launching an active manhunt. When guards realized that he

was missing from his cell, they found that a ventilated tunnel had been constructed and had an exit via the bathtub inside Guzman's cell. The tunnel extended for about a mile un- derground and featured an adapted motorcycle on rails that officials believe was used to transport the tools used to create the tunnel.
Guzman, the leader of the Sinaloa cartel, was once de- scribed by the United States Treasury as "the most power-
ful drug trafficker in the world." The Sinaloa cartel al- legedly uses elaborate tunnels for drug trafficking and has been estimated to be responsi- ble for 25 percent of all illegal drugs that enter the United States through Mexico.
Guzman has also long been ranked among the richest men in the world by Forbes. Drug enforcement experts have conservatively estimated the cartel's revenues at more than $3 billion annually.
