MRS. LINDA ANN WALKER
Mrs. Linda Ann Walker, of Tampa, FL, passed away Monday, April 11th, 2022. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, April 23rd, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Ave., Tampa, FL. with Pastor Charles Patrick, Jr., offici- ating.
Mrs. Linda Walker was a na- tive and resident of Tampa, FL, for her whole life of 54 years. She was educated in Hillsborough County and was a member of Christlike Worship Center. Linda had a big heart and was full of life.
Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by: her father, Nathaniel Walker and her brother, Darryl Walker.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her lovely mother, Gloria Walker; her three sons, Maurice Walker, Mickel Jones, and Darris Walker; her five grandchildren, Janayah Garcia, Navea Jones, Jamir McDaniel, Taliyah Walker, and Darris Walker, Jr.; and an abundance of loving family and friends.
Visitation will be held prior to the service on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606. MASK REC- OMMENDED.

        MR. JIMMY LEE HIGDON
A Funeral Service for Mr. Jimmy Higdon, Jr., who passed on April 13, 2022, will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at 12:00 noon at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida, with Rev. W. D. Sims, Officiating.
Mr. Jimmy Lee Higdon, Jr. was born on January 11, 1990, in Rochester, NY, to the parentage of Jimmy Lee Higdon, Sr., and Iris Amiger Hidgon. Mr. Jimmy Lee Higdon, Jr. was a chef.
Mr. Higdon is survived by: his son, Jayden Higdon; father, Jimmy Lee Higdon Sr; sisters, Passion Usher, Trelinda Hig- don, Stephaine Albert, Thelma Edwards and Evelyn Smith; brothers, Robert Daniels, Sammy Edwards and Larry Dukes; grandmother, Juanita Higdon and other relatives and friends.
There will be a viewing on Friday, April 22, 2022, at Wilson Funeral Home from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m.

MR. EARL EDWARD ‘POP’ ADAMS
A Memorial Service for Mr. Earl Edward ‘Pop’ Adams, 80, who transitioned to his Heav- enly home on April 11th, will be held on Saturday, April 23rd, at 10 a.m. at Agape Christian Church, 4816 N. 43rd Street, Tampa, Florida, with Rev. Eric Gallman, Pastor, Officiating.
Mr. Adams was born and raised in Tampa, Florida, and at- tended Harlem School, Booker Washington Jr. High and H. W. Blake High School.
After graduation, he moved to New York and became a valet and driver for the late great singer, Roy Hamilton and later Wilson Pickett. He also worked for the Patterson family and later in child services before re- turning to Tampa to be closer to his family.
Mr. Adams was preceded in death by: his father, Harry Adams; mother, Marie Butler Adams; grandmother, Minnie Butler; sisters, Mikolean Martin and Shirley Adams; brother, Robert Gooden; niece, Stacey Adams Grace and nephew, Ken- neth ‘Kenny’ Adams.
He leaves to mourn his pass-
MS. JOYCE GATHERS BALLARD
A private service will be held for Ms. Joyce Gathers-Ballard who passed away on April 15, 2022.
Joyce was born on September 19, 1950, to Virginia and Lawrence Gathers in Tampa, Florida. Joyce was a product of Hillsborough County School System.
After graduation, Joyce met and married Henry J. Ballard, Jr., going on to have two chil- dren, Henry J. Ballard, III, and Monica C. Ballard-Brown. Joyce, who was determined to dance to the beat of her own drum, established and opened Joyce’s Sandwich Shop in 1978.
Joyce accepted Christ at an early age. She was a strong, kind, loving, supportive mother, who was devoted to her children and grand-children. That devotion further extended to her family. Joyce always put family first. She was a force of nature who was determined to provide for her family to give them a life they deserved all while serving her community at Joyce’s Sandwich Shop. Family meant the world to her.
Ms. Ballard was preceded in death by mother, Virginia Bais- den-Gathers; father, Lawrence Gathers; brother, Richard Clai- borne; sisters, Patricia McCray and Angelina Broadnax; sister- in-law, Yvette Jackson; son-in- law, Michael T. Brown; nephews, James (Jay) Phillips and Erik Curry.
She is survived by: children, Henry J. Ballard, III, and Mon- ica C. Ballard-Brown; grand- children, Michael T. Brown, III, Christopher H. Brown and Blake A. Ballard; brothers and sisters, William (Helen) Gath- ers, Samuel (Rosa) Gathers, Fred (Margaret) Gathers, Roger Robinson, Elmira Curry, Marva (Carlton) Williams and Sheila Tiller; nephews and nieces, Yolanda (Alfred), Shondra (Darryl), Nicole, Kim, Karen, Katrina, Erika, Andrea, Tiffany, LiNika, Richel, Adrian (Donna), Anthony, Tony (Joi), John (Nicole), Fred, Jr. and Rahman; brothers and sisters-in-law, Li- onel (Connie) Ballard and Rick (Cheryl) Riley; a host of grand- nieces and grandnephews; adopted daughter, Adrian (Jacques) Gee; special friend, Christine Vickers and a host of loyal customers.
