MR. VICTOR BERNARD DAVIS
Homegoing celebration for Mr. Victor Bernard Davis of Tampa, who passed away on Friday, August 7, 2015, will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2015, at 2 p. m. at The Center for Manifestation, 3102 E. Lake Avenue, Apostle Mark T. Jones, pastor, with Pastor Pierre Francois of Mt. Gilead and Mt. Sinai SDA Church, Bradenton, FL. The interment will be in Orange Hill Ceme- tery.
Victor Bernard Davis was born on October 1, 1961, in Tampa, to the late Daniel and Mattie Davis.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Jimmy Lee Davis, Henry Davis, Rita Davis, Nathaniel Davis and Charlene Davis.
Victor was a graduate of Hillsborough High School, class of 1979. He was a dedi- cated and hard worker at Lup- tons catering for 24 years.
Victor leaves to cherish his precious memories with: eight children, Antuan, Utara, Tasha, Vicknesia, Cecelia, Jas- mine, Jalen and Victor, Jr., all of Tampa.
He helped nourish, love and spoil thirteen grandchildren: Zactari, Antuan, Jr., Sakiyah, Emvory, Bryce, Demarion, James, La’Vonya, Chrisdilyn, Christopher, Kenndi, Melvin and Deandre, all of Tampa.
He also leaves to mourn: four sisters, Catherine Norton (Clarence), Sarah Hepburn, Lucille Davis and Veronica Davis, all of Tampa; five broth- ers, Gerald Davis (Bridgett), Anthony Davis, and Daniel Davis (Darlene), all of Tampa, and Moses Davis (Theresa) of Lakeland, FL, and Jeffrey Davis of Tampa; sister-in-law, Patricia Davis; ten nieces, Katherine, Kesha, Meka (Mar- cus), Shonda (Derricus), Ci- mone (Terrance), Erica (Pierre), Ebony, Ashley, Nicole and Tameka (Chris); twelve nephews, Waymon (Jequiel), Gerald, Jr. (Jenn), James, Leroy (Kera), Daniel, Jr. (Penny), Shawn (Meka), Jef- frey, Jr., Maurice, Aaron, Ronald, Rashad and Anthony, Jr.; fifteen great nieces and twenty great nephews; special friends, Joe Murphy, Joe Welch, Ralph and Nancy Lup- ton, Chip Lupton, Jeff Lupton, Anthony and Linda McDaniel, Don Stack, Ruby White “OG”, Edward, Norris Davis, James Baker, and Anita Thomas “Net”; Bill Collins and wife, and a host of other loving rela- tives and friends.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Fri- day, August 14, 2015, from 5-8 p. m. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p. m. The fam- ily and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.

Homegoing services for Mrs. Patricia Diana Thomas, “Pat” of Tampa, who passed away Sunday, August 9, 2015, will be held Saturday, August 15,2015,at11a.m.atNewMt. Zion M. B. vChurch, 2511 E. Columbus Drive, Rev. Larry Roundtree, II, pastor, officiat- ing. The interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery.
Patricia Diana Jones- Thomas was born on August 14, 1959, in Tampa, to the late James Garfield Jones, Sr. and Mary Lee Jones. Patricia, known to most as “Pat”, was born and raised in Hillsbor- ough County, where she also attended several Hillsborough County public schools.
She began working as a Day- care Aide in 1993 and contin- ued in the business until 2012, after she retired from owning her own daycare (Pat’s Family Home Daycare).
She was an active member of New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as a minister’s wife, a Deaconess, an usher on the Purple Lily Usher Board and on the Prison Ministry Board.
Pat loved her husband, child- ren and her family dearly. Her number one priority was taking care of her family. Her motto was always, “A Family That Prays Together, Stays Together”!
Pat was preceded in death by: her parents; brother, Tim- othy Robinson; sister, Patrice Jones; aunts, Beulah Young and Idella Warren; uncles, Deuteronomy Wimberly and Thessalonians Wimberly; nieces, Aretha Jones and Waynecia Tilman; and best friend, Patricia Highsmith.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Minis- ter Ronald L. Thomas; children, Traves Jones (Bri), Alonzo John- son (Tanya), Joseph Jones (Najla), Joshua Jones (Jertrice), Latorshia Jones (Lenford), and Kenza Thomas (Christopher); sisters, Barbara Watson (Johnny), Mary Ramsey (Thur- man), Beverly King (Albert), Cyn- thia Sanchez, Caprice Thompkins (Aubrey), Carla Jones and Veron- ica Jones-Johnson; brothers, Bobby Bradberry (Hazel), Larry Jones (Michelle), Sheraton Jones (Liz), James Garfield, Jr., Michael, Anthony, Desmond and Ernest Jones; aunt, Queen Holmes (Julius); uncles, William Jones (Mary), Timothy Wimberly and Charles Warren; grandchil- dren, Ronald, II, Ledarius, Ron- nisia, Natalie, Rontavious, Caleb, Mila and Laia Thomas, Talus Jones, Alonzo, Jr. and Alana Johnson, Ranae, Joshua, Jr. and Jaleah Jones, and Kendall John- son; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; as well as, friends whom she loved dearly.

BROTHER WILLIE (T. C.) CHERRY, SR.
“And God shall wipe all tears from their eyes and there shall be no more death, nei- ther sorrow, nor crying, nei- ther shall there be any more pain.” Revelations 21:4.
The homegoing celebration for Bro. Willie Cherry, Sr. who departed this life on August 10, 2015, will be held Saturday, August 15, 2015, at 11 a. m. at First Missionary Baptist Church of Seffner, 6720 CR 579 North, Seffner, FL, 33584, Rev. Nathaniel Love, officiating. The interment will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL, 33610.
Brother Willie Cherry was born on May 12, 1944, to the late Mrs. Marie Holloway. He attended the public schools of Hillsborough County.
Willie retired from Mosaic after forty-two years of em- ployment. He enjoyed spend- ing time with his wife and family. Willie was a member of a motorcycle club, and enjoyed bowling and weightlifting, when his health permitted him to do so.
He was preceded in death by, his mother, stepfather, two sons, a grandson, two broth- ers, and two nephews.
Brother Cherry leaves to cherish his memories: a loving and precious wife, Novella Campbell Cherry; daughters, Etrinda Parker (Eric), Camille Cherry, and Wanda Wise (Ray- mond); grandchildren, Ronald Washington, Eric Washington, Latoya Cherry, Ashley Cherry, Adrain (A. C.) Cherry, Jazmyn, and Justin; sisters, Rosemary Anderson (Rev. Anderson), Bertha Russell (Karl, Sr.), and Ruby Mingo; brothers, Adell Mingo (Carolyn), Joseph Mingo (Lillie), James Mingo, Goldie Mingo (Deborah), Willie Mingo (Casanthia), Andrew Mingo and Odell Mingo (Teresa); sis- ter and brothers-in-law, William Campbell (Linda), Leonard Campbell (Sarah), Barbara Green (James), Alford Campbell (Alberta), Vernell Savage (Alfonso), and Harold Campbell (Angie); five great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and loved ones.
A special acknowledgement to the Hospice’s Autumn Team and J. S. A. Medical Center of Valrico, FL, for the concerned and loving care given to my husband during his illness.
Viewing will be held on Fri- day, August 14, 2015, from 6-8 p. m., and the family will be there to receive friends during that time. The processional will arrange at the church at 10:45 a. m.

MR. BERNARD JASPER GATLING
Homegoing services for Mr. Bernard (Bernie) Gatling, who passed away on Saturday, Au- gust 8, 2015, will be held Satur- day, August 15, 2015, at 11 a. m. at Harmon Funeral Home, 5002 N. 40th Street, Tampa, 33610, with Minister Lawrence Heard, officiating. A Final Closing will follow.
Bernard (Bernie) was born January 26, 1934, in Water- bury, Connecticut, where he at- tended public schools until the 8th grade.
In 1969, he moved to Tampa, and worked for the City’s Pumping Stations, until he retired at age 65 in 1999.
Mr. Gatling was preceded in death by: his parents, Martin Luther and Annie Marie Gatling; 3 brothers, Harry, Erving and Raymond Gatling; 2 sisters, Easter Burrus and Winefred Blash; and a daugh- ter, Cylinda Gatling Bush.
Mr. Gatling leaves to cherish his memories: a loving and de- voted wife, Maxine P. Gatling; daughters, Donna N. Miller (husband, Junior), Sherry Gatling, Karen Gatling and Pa- sonia Gatling; a host of grands, great grands, nieces, nephews and cousins of Connecticut; 2 step-sons, Timothy and Ronald Cogmon; 3 step-daughters, Sabrena (husband, Fred Davis), Miss Darolyn Cogmon and Lil, and Brigette (husband, Laurence) Heard; a host of family and friends of Tampa; and 3 devoted friends, Dian Johnson, Richard Glynn and wife, Renae.
