“The Magnificent Seven,” a re- make of John Sturges’ clas- sic 1960 Hollywood western, looks like it will wrangle the top spot at the box office this weekend, leaving the Tom Hanks-led “Sully” in the dust.
The MGM and Sony’s Co- lumbia Pictures’ release is ex- pected to gross $30 million to $45 million in ticket sales from the United States and Canada through Sunday, according to people who have reviewed pre- release audience surveys.
The “Magnificent Seven” re- make is directed by Antoine Fuqua and centers on a dis- parate squad of seven gun-

FX has signed Donald Glover’s hit series, Atlanta up for a second season.
Created and executive pro- duced by Glover (otherwise known as Childish Gam- bino), Atlanta earned the best premiere numbers for any basic cable primetime scripted comedy in over three years in the 18-49 demo.

Atlanta rapper Shawty Lo (born Carlos Walker) was killed in a hit-and-run accident alongside Atlanta’s I-285 southbound at Cascade Road in the wee hours of this morn- ing (September 21), 11 Alive NBC has confirmed.
Cpl. Partrena Smith said the incident took place around 2:20 a.m. and the Atlanta Po- lice Department have yet to re- lease a description of the vehicle that fled the scene.
The 40-year-old founding member of the rap quartet D4L, whose 2005 hit “Laffy Taffy” reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in January 2006, was traveling from pop- ular ATL strip joint Blue Flame when his car was struck by an- other unknown vehicle when it crashed into two trees before
When nobody was looking, Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert went and got hitched. The singer, whose body stole the show in the risqué video for Kanye West’s “Fade,” broke the news Tuesday, Sept. 20th on the “Wendy Williams Show.”
It seems Wendy apparently knew something had gone down between the two and when she tried to get it out of Taylor, she hedged, saying “Maybe. Maybe not.”
Obviously you already know she came around and admitted that she and the Cleveland Cav- aliers baller had secretly wed. Interestingly, it came out while talking about recovering from the revelation that a one-time best friend of hers had slept with her man. Compton rapper The Game says he’s “torn” after dropping his second diss track against Meek Mill “Pest Control,” fol- lowing the controversial mur- der by Tulsa police of unarmed black man Terrence Crutcher.
“I find it a little difficult to be actually beefing with another African-American artist, be- cause on one accord I should be on this Black Lives Matter push and this cops killing African- Americans thing and then on the other side I got this beef with Meek going. So it’s kinda like I’m torn, it makes me look bipolar man,” The Game told TMZ when asked about the re- cent tragedy.
The Game kicked off the feud when he released “92 Bars” last Friday (Sept. 16) after claiming the MMG rapper snitched on him. Meek Mill then responded in kind when he released “Ooouuu” featuring fellow Philadelphia native Beanie Siegel, but never one to be out done, the Compton MC later released his rebuttal to Meek’s rebuttal entitled
