Director Of Neighborhood Award Winning Church Choir Planning Live Recording
Beginning To
See The Light
Lord, I realize I am powerless to do anything of sig- nificance or accomplish anything lasting without You. I know it is not by my strength or wisdom that powerful things happen in my life but it is by Your spirit. My prayers are not answered because of what I know, but because of whom I know. Thank You that I have come to know You as the light of my world. Thank You for the light of Your Spirit that I experience every day. Help me to truly see Your light more and more, and to trust that it is always there because You are always there.
In Him was life and the life was the light of men. JOHN 1:4

Refusing To Be Afraid Of The Dark
Lord, thank You that because I walk with You I don’t have to fear the dark. Even in the blackest night, You are there. In the darkest times, You have treasures for me. No matter what I am going through, Your presence and grace are my comfort and my light. Your Word says, “if one walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him” (John 11:9-10). But I know Your light is in me. Jesus, You have come as a light into the world so that whoever believes in You should not abide in dark- ness (John 12:46).
Even the night shall be light about me; indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, but the night shines as the day; the darkness and the light are both alike to You. PSALM 139:11-12
Lord, I believe in You and know that You have lifted me out of the darkness of hopelessness, futility, and fear. I refuse to be afraid. I confess any time I have chosen to walk in the darkness of doubt, disobedience or blaming You for my circumstances. Forgive me. I give my hand to You, Lord. Take hold of it and led me. Thank You that as I take each step, the light You give me will be all I need.
Who walks in darkness and has no light? Let him trust in the name of the LORD and rely upon his God. ISAIAH 50:10
Lord, lift the blinders off of me so that I can see the truth about myself and my situation. If I find myself in a dark circumstance because of my own disobedience help me to understand that so I can confess it and get back on the path. But if it is a darkness that You are allowing, help me to reach out to you in total dependence and find Your light in it. I know that the treasure I find in dark- ness is You.
I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that I, the LORD, who call you by your name, and the God of Is- rael. ISAIAH 45:3
Lord, I regard Your presence and my relationship with You as the most important thing in my life. Help me to never doubt it or take it for granted. In the times when You are testing my faith and my love for You, I pray that I will draw ever closer to You. Even in the most difficult situation of my life right now, I know that You are in con- trol and will turn things around and bring good out of it. I refuse to allow fear or a lack of faith to keep me from walking victoriously in all You have for me.
For You will light my lamp; the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness. PSALM 18:28
