MRS. YVONNE BROWN CHANDLER
A private Memorial Service will be held for Mrs. Yvonne Brown Chandler who passed on August 29, 2022.
Yvonne Brown Chandler was born on July 8, 1952 in Jack- sonville, Florida, to Homer Brown, Sr. and Evelyn Deas.
In 2002, Mrs. Chandler relo- cated to Tampa, Florida, where she resided until her passing. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Institutional Church and was baptized July, 2003. She worked as a Registered Nurse for over forty years at various healthcare faculties.
She leaves to cherish memo- ries of her with: her husband, Jeffery Chandler; children, Den- nis R. Head (Laryssa) and Benita Harvey (Yolawnda); grandchil- dren, Dennis Head, Derris McGee, Trevius Head (Demekia) and Dennis R. Head, Jr.; 7 great grandchildren; brothers, Ran- dolph Deas (Vernice), Jesse Jack- son (Cassandra), Donald Akins (Deborah) and Johnny Hannah; sisters, Sandra Pope, Rusha Up- church (Williams), Shirley White (Wayne) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other sorrow- ing relatives and friends.

Home going service for Dea- con Marshall Leroy “Nick” Watkins, Sr. will be held at 11a.m. on Saturday September17, 2022 at First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens, 4025 W. Pal- metto Street, Tampa, Florida 33607 with Pastor A. W. Green. Officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens, 11005 North U.S. High- way 301, Thonotosassa, Florida.
On Saturday, September 10, 2022 the Lord called another sol- dier home. Deacon Marshall Leroy Watkins Sr. was born on January 16, 1939 in Rock Hill, South Carolina to the late Mr. James and Mrs. Rosa Mae Watkins.
Marshall Watkins Sr. also known as “Nick” resided in Car- olina the early part of his life where he was employed with Jim Walter’s Home. He was trans- ferred to Tampa, Florida and Nick spent over 40 years with Jim Walter’s Homes until he re- tired.
Deacon Marshall was a faith- ful member of First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens. He was an ordained Deacon that served in several Ministries.

Watkins, Sr. leaves to cherish memories of him with his wife, Mrs. Patricia Watkins; children, Marshall Watkins Jr. (Erika), Michelle Watkins, Brian Watkins (Anny), Victoria Brown, Christine Hooper, Garfield Brown (Alison) and Antonio Brown (grandson who he raised as his son), Shel- lina Watkins, Salithia Mathis (Danny), Tonia Biggins (Eddie), Veronica Kellum, Elijah Woodard Jr. (Meka), and Michael Harvey (Marilynn); grandchildren, JaMarkus, JaTeajha, Brianna, Antonio, Sarah, Taylor, Willie, Chris, Alex, Taronza, Tanina, Trey, Christo- pher, Jariah, Ka’shi, James, Denise, Delano, Yasia, Destiney, La Rie, Ulysses, Veronica, Eli- jah’nae, Walter, Paulina, Jordan, Elijah, Acacia, Michael Jr., Mal- colm, and Makayla; brother, Deacon Larry Watkins (Bar- bara); sisters, Willeen Young, Al- freda Brown, Fannie Watkins Canty, and a host of additional grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends including Deacon Mahoney, Corey Norflet, friends of Jim Walter’s Home that were touched with the loving spirit of Mr. Marshall Watkins Sr.

MS. HERBERTHIA ANTOINETTE WILLIAMS
Homegoing Celebration for Ms. Herberthia Antoinette Williams will be held on Satur- day, September 17, 2022, at 2 p. m. at St. John Cathedral, 3401 Bishop Eddie Newkirk Way, Tampa, Florida, with Senior Pastor Dwight Newkirk, offici- ating, and Apostle James H. Howell, Eulogist. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Me- morial Park Cemetery.
Herberthia Antoinette Williams was born on Novem- ber 8, 1954 in Tampa, FL, to the late Harold Williams and Eve- lyn Patricia Williams. Her- berthia attended Catholic Schools in Hillsborough County and graduated from Tampa Catholic.
Herberthia accepted Christ at an early age and was a for- mer member of St. Mathew Missionary Baptist Church in her early years, but in later years she united with Cathedral of Faith and St. John Cathedral. Herberthia was a caring; loving and giving person who would lend a hand to everyone she came in contact with. She was not shy with words and she was not afraid to speak her mind. Herberthia loved her children, grandchildren and her entire family and although she had many physical challenges, she was there for her family when- ever they needed her.
Herberthia heard the Mas- ter’s call and she answered the call on Wednesday, September 7, 2022. The entire Tampa Bay
Area feels the loss and she will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her grand- mothers, Connie Gordon and Elouise Allen; brothers, Darryl Williams and James (Dime) Flowers; aunts, Linda Thomas, Ethel (Aunt Sweet) Devard and Alberta White.

The late Brother Sylvester Simmons was the only son of John Simmons and Rosa Hill Simmons. He was born May 5, 1932, in Jef- ferson County, Florida. He gradu- ated from Old Greenville High School in Greenville, Florida. He was one of the first six graduates of his class. He was a faithful member of New Bethel AME Church, serving as a deacon until he was unable to attend. He served as Wish Master for the Interna- tional Masonic Order, receiving 33rd Degree. He was an honorable member of the United States Army serving in the Korean War. He was an owner/operator truck driver and supervisor for Kash n’ Karry. He enjoyed serving the Lord, fam- ily time, traveling, fishing, smok- ing a pipe, or cigar.
Preceding him in death were: daughter, Roberta Robinson; granddaughter, Nicole Robinson; sisters, Dr. Lacile Hill Banks, Delia McKinney; and brother, Harold Simmons.
He leaves to cherish his mem- ory: a devoted wife, Evelyn Sim- mons; daughter, Elizabeth Harris (William) of Seffner, FL, Jackie, Janice, Claudette; granddaughter, Troya Harris, Buffy (Destinee), Kenyana, Sabrina (Modrell), Tyeshia, Faith, grandsons, De- coursey, Ryan (Ashley), LePonse (Sa’Dawndra), Terrance, O’Neil (Shanaternia); five great-grand- daughters; twelve great- grand- sons; brothers, James Simmons (Nelly) of Tyler, TX, John Sim- mons of Gulf Port, MS; brother-in- law, Eugene Anderson (Linda) of Valrico, FL, sister-in-law, Inez Washington of Tampa, FL; niece, Sharon Jackson (Danny) of Riverview, FL; nephews, Willie T.
