MOTHER KARETTA BAKER ALEXANDER
Mother Karetta Baker Alexander passed away on Sat- urday, July 23, 2022. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 6, 2022, 11 a. m. at Allen Temple AME Church, 2101 Lowe Street, Tampa, FL 33605, Rev. Doctor Glenn B. Dames, Jr., Pastor, with Bishop Melvin Lee, officiating. The Interment will follow in Rest Haven Me- morial Park Cemetery.
Mother Karetta Baker Alexander was born in Quincy, Florida on September 17, 1931, to the late Charlie Baker and Ella Mae Baker. She was reared in Panama City, Florida and ob- tained her education through the Bay County Public School System. In 1957, she moved to Tampa, Florida.
Mother Alexander was a member of Mt. Tabor Mission- ary Baptist Church, and her previous church home was with the Apostolic Church of Jesus, where she ushered for 36 years and baked delicious cakes, pies and sold frozen cups for various fundraising goals on behalf of the church. She was a loving Homemaker, a Foster Parent, and an in-home daycare provider to the children of young mothers in the neighbor- hood who were pursuing
their education.
She was preceded in death
by: her husband, Deacon John Lee Alexander; son, James Earl Sessions; foster daughter, Mary Frances Robinson; parents; sib- lings, Henry Baker, Alberta Baker, and Amelia Baker Gayle; nephews, Joshua Johnson, and Ronnie Johnson; niece, Jeannie Johnson Williams; son-in-law, Leroy Green; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Williams, Louise Hardy, Rosalee Armstead, Cor- rine Jackson and Ernestine Alexander; brothers-in-law, Woodrow Alexander, Bishop Walter Williams, Deacon David Armstead, Sr., and Elder James Hardy; cousins, Mazalene Golden, and James Edward Harris; a very close and dear friend, Mother Willie Mae Rawls; and godson, Roderick Faison.

MS. MAE RUTH FLOWERS
Ms. Mae Ruth Flowers passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2022. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022, 2:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, Florida, 33606.
Ms. Mae was educated in the Public School system of Chiefland, FL. She was born to the late Rees Flowers and Cora Thomas in Lafayette, Florida, on November 07, 1941. She was a member at Greater New Salem Primitive Baptist Church. She was a dedicated mother, grand- mother, great grandmother, friend, and employee.
Ms. Mae was loved and adored by many, a very classy lady. She retired from University of South Florida after 30 years and retired from The Karpay’s after about 40 years. She always liked to say, “I am 17.” She will be missed by a host of other rela- tives and friends. “Jesus said...I am the resurrection and the life, he who believes in me will live even though he dies, and who- ever lives and believes in Me will never die.”
She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted parents; children, Diane Williams, and Henry Williams; brother, Sim- mey Rainey; lifetime friends, Mrs. Louise Grant, Mrs. Delores Thomas, Mrs. Redesta Baldwin; aunt and uncle, Joe Tramel, and Ann Tramel; great grandchild, Caden Hicks; great great grand- children, Knowledge Moore, and Ayana Footman; nephew, Chucky Montgomery; brothers- n-law, Ben Thornton, and Sylvester Montgomery; and chil- dren’s father, Leon Daniels.

victory. At Alabama State Col- lege, he worked in the Math De- partment as an assistant. He entered the USAR and after basic training, his orders sent him to Europe. He received a National Defense Service Medal and was classified as a sharpshooter (M14 & M16). While in Europe he worked for Generals and Offi- cers. Mr. Dawson’s love for Mathematics is the reason for his success in Hillsborough County Schools and HCC. He often stated, if you learn the rule, you can solve any math problem. Mr. Dawson had a heart of gold and would help any person (students, teachers, ad- ministrators) in mathematics. He thoroughly enjoyed teaching at risk boys math lessons and life lessons. Believe it or not, he taught exercise classes, swim- ming, and tennis. He enjoyed competing with his friends on and off the tennis court. He worked for Fair Oaks Recreation Center and USF Summer pro- gram.
Mr. Dawson was preceded in death by: his parents; aunts; un- cles; 4 brothers; and 2 sisters.
Mr. Henry Dawson leaves to cherish his loving memories; son, Mark Mainville; sister, Mar- jorie Hollinhead of Jamaica Queens New York; his other half (33 years), Patricia Washington; and a host of sorrowing nieces, nephews, cousins, co-workers, and friends.

MR. HENRY C. DAWSON
Mr. Henry C. Dawson passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022. Funeral Services will be held Sat- urday August 6, 2022, 11:00 a. m. at Mt. Olive A. M. E. Church, 1902 W. LaSalle Street, Tampa, FL 33607, with Rev. Gregory V. Gay, Sr., Officiating. Interment will follow in Florida National Cemetery, 6502 S.W. 102nd Av- enue, Bushnell, Florida 33513 on Monday, August 8, 2022. Mili- tary Honors will be conducted by the U. S. Army Honor Guards. Mr. Henry Dawson, born to the late Arthur and Ruth Daw- son, was a native of Mont- gomery, Alabama, and a resident of Tampa for more than 40 years. He attended public schools in Montgomery County. He was baptized at an early age and was surrounded by minis- ters and singers. As a young teen, he worked at an icehouse, on a golf course, and picked up odd jobs to help out the family. He graduated from Booker T. Washington High School and Al- abama State College where he received (BA, MA) degrees in Mathematics. He was the left- hand quarterback (high school and college) who led his teams to
