1 Teenager Dies, 2 Others Hurt In Single-Car Accident
Man Dies In
Driver Charged With

Three high school seniors were involved in a single-car accident that left one dead. The accident took place shortly after the students left Lakewood High School, in St. Petersburg, last Tuesday af- ternoon.
Bryson Welton- Williams, 18, was the driver of the car. His passen- gers were Joshua Heath and Ramcharin Latti- more, both 18. All three stu- dents were seniors and slated to graduate in less than a month.
According to police, the students had left school and were traveling west on 54th Avenue, S., when Welton- Williams, for undetermined reasons, lost control of the ve- hicle. The vehicle struck a tree and he died as a result of his injuries.

A 39-year-old man died Fri- day in a single-car accident. The accident was discovered by the Hillsborough County Fire Rescue shortly after 4 p.m.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, the employees saw the over- turned 2-door gold Honda Ac- cord on Lithia Pinecrest Road and Alafia River.
Upon closer inspection, they located John Michael Mackey, who had been ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said Mackey was not restrained when the accident took place. The car also had an improper New Jersey tag at- tached at the time of the acci- dent. Alcohol is also suspected to be involved.
The investigation into the cause of the accident is contin- uing.
Police arrested a 29-year- old man and charged him with leaving the scene of an accident involving a death. The accident took place around 1:45 p.m., in Dade City.
Police said Thomas Michael Burdeshaw, 53, of Dade City, was lying near the edge of Blanton Road when he was struck. The suspect left the scene in a white 1996 Toyota Avalon.
The driver, identified as Gregory Germaine Pye, of Dade City, returned to the scene and saw Burdeshaw lying in the road, but did not

attempt to render any assis- tance.

A Fatal Accident
The Florida Highway Pa- trol is currently investigating a fatal traffic accident. It took place at U. S. Highway 41 and Spindle Shell Way, Tuesday morning, at 7:15 a.m.
According to a spokesper- son for the Florida Highway Patrol, Ms. Danielle Hall, 27, of Gibsonton, was travel- ing in the northbound lane on U. S. Highway 41, in a 2012 Hundai Elantra. Derrick Al- ston, 45, of Apollo Beach, was stopped in the right turn lane on Spindle Shell Way. He was driving a 2009 Honda Pilot.
Ms. Hall allegedly turned left and into the path of 28- year-old Roberto Garcia’s vehicle. Garcia’s passengers were Incocente Moreno, 32, Mario Lopez, 44; and
66-year-old Ernesto Lopez Zaragoza, of Ruskin.
After being struck, Gar- cia’s vehicle rotated and col- lided with a 2009 Honda driven by Derrick Alston. Alston’s vehicle flipped and collided with a utility pole, police said.
Ms. Hall received minor injuries and was treated at the scene. Alston was trans- ported to St. Joseph’s Hospi- tal as a result of his injuries.
Garcia, Moreno, and Lopez were not injured.
Investigators said Er- nesto Zaragoza was not wearing a seatbelt and was partially ejected from the ve- hicle. He died at the scene.
The investigation is contin- uing and charges are pending, police said.

Lattimore and Heath were both injured and trans- ported to a local hospital.
The accident remains under investigation.
Driver Killed
60-Year-Old
motive, pulling 63 train cars was traveling northbound. As Pierce attempted to cross the tracks, he failed to see the down crossing arms. Police said he was wearing earphones attached to his cell phone.
He entered the path of the train and was killed. The in- vestigation is continuing.

The Florida Highway Pa- trol is investigating an acci- dent involving the death of a Valrico man. He was killed as he walked into the path of the train on Highway 60 and Valrico Station Road.

Motorcyclist Critically Injured In Accident
3-Car Accident Leaves Elderly Passenger Dead
A 60-year-old Tampa man died after the semi he was driving overturned. The acci- dent happened Thursday at County Line Road, just north of Interstate 4.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Michael Wayne Woods, of Tampa, was driving southbound on County Line Road. For un- known reasons, the tractor trailer left the roadway and overturned.
Woods was transported to Lakeland Regional Medical Center, where he later died as a result of his injuries.
The investigation into the accident is continuing.
A 41-year-old Riverview man was critically injured in an accident Monday night. The accident took place on Interstate 4, west of County Line Road.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Cristobal Colon Padilla was riding a 2004 Suzi GSX600 motorcy- cle eastbound on Interstate 4. Padilla changed lanes and struck the back of a 2018
Audi A6, driven by Christo- pher Kyle Marx, 47, of Palmyra, PA.
Padilla was ejected from the motorcycle and landed in the center median. He was transported to Lakeland Re- gional Hospital in critical condition.
Marx was not injured.
The investigation is con- tinuing and charges are pend- ing, police said.
