ISIAH DICKERSON (R) And FAMILY
CINCINNATI, OH - This is the three-year-old boy who fell into a gorilla enclosure, prompting zookeepers to kill the animal who grabbed him.
Isiah Dickerson was with his mother, Michelle Gregg at Cincinnati Zoo, Ohio, when he somehow made his way through a barrier, into a moat - and was lifted up by Harambe.
Within minutes the 17-year- old, 450 lb. silverback was killed by zookeepers who feared for Isiah's safety.
But the decision has sparked a backlash, with calls for the boy's parents to be prosecuted.
Isiah is recovering from minor injuries and his mother has not been seen at the Cincin- nati home where she lives.
Soon after the incident, Michelle Gregg, 32, posted a message on Facebook saying: 'I want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers today. What started off as a wonderful

day turned into a scary one.
'For those of you that have seen the news or been on social media that was my son that fell in the gorilla exhibit at the zoo. God protected my child until the au-
thorities were able to get to him. 'My son is safe and was able to walk away with a concussion and a few scrapes... no broken bones
or internal injuries.
'As a society we are quick to
judge how a parent could take their eyes off of their child and if anyone knows me I keep a tight watch on my kids. Accidents hap- pen but I am thankful that the right people were in the right place today.'
It read: 'We are so thankful to the Lord that our child is safe. He is home and doing just fine. We extend our heartfelt thanks for the quick action by the Cincinnati Zoo staff.

Ex-Florida Cop Charged In Shooting Of Armed Black Musician
COREY JONES
PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL - A fired Florida police officer was arrested and charged Wednesday with manslaughter and attempted murder in the fatal shooting of a legally armed Black musician after prosecutors say an audio recording and physical evidence show the mu- sician had thrown his weapon to the ground and was running away when the lethal round was fired.
Prosecutors also allege that the recording shows Palm Beach Gardens Officer Nouman Raja misled investigators and lied to a 911 operator to make it appear that Corey Jones, 31, was still armed and a threat more than 30 seconds after he had been felled by the officer's

bullets last Oct. 18.
Palm Beach County State At-
torney Dave Aronberg an- nounced the charges at a news conference after a grand jury found the shooting unjustified. If convicted, Raja could face life in prison. Aronberg declined to answer questions about the case.
Jones family issued a state- ment saying they are relieved by the arrest.
"While we understand that nothing can bring back our son, brother and friend, this arrest sends a message that this con- duct will not be tolerated from members of law enforcement," the statement said.
Raja's attorney, Richard Lubin, did not immediately re- spond to phone calls or email.
