AIKENS
MOTHER ROSA E. EDWARDS
A Homegoing Celebration for Mother Rosa E. Edwards of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2018, will be held on Saturday, June 16th, 12 p. m. at Cathedral of Faith Church, Inc., 6304 N. 30th Street, Apostle James H. Howell, Sr., pastor officiating. The inter- ment will be in Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery, Thonoto- sassa, Florida.
Mother Rosa was born No- vember 11, 1928 in Ocilla, Geor- gia to the late Edd S. Merritt and Rosetta Merritt. Rosa was the oldest child of twenty children, ten boys and ten girls with two sets of twins that she helped raise. Rosa grew up in Adel, Georgia, where she attended el- ementary and high school in Cook County Public School Sys- tem.
Rosa continued her educa- tion at Volusia County Voca- tional-Technical College, in Daytona Beach, Florida. There, she studied furniture upholstery and completed her studies with a certification. Rosa also was a head/chef cook in several restaurants.
Rosa had seven children with a set of twins, she loved and
worked very hard for her chil- dren. Her hobbies were crochet- ing and sewing; she could make clothes without a sewing pattern.
Mother Edwards was a faith- ful member and a mother at Cathedral of Faith Church, Inc. At the early age of five, Rosa knew God, she loved going to church, singing in the choir and being with her Cathedral of Faith Church family.
Rosa was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Edwards; son, Robert Lee Hannah, Jr., twin; daughter, Mattie Ruth “Hannah” Brown; granddaugh- ters, Jackie Ford; brothers, Rulis, Jessie, Eddie and Clemens Merritt; sisters, Eleanora, Retha- May, Elizabeth, and Verlis Mer- ritt and Betty Jean (Inez) Woods.
She leaves to cherish pre- cious memories with: her 5 chil- dren, Joann Wright (Freddie), Viola Gillis (Anthony), Dwain Hannah (Arnita), Robbin Nell Kimbrough (Willie) and Keith Hannah (Naoko); grandchildren, Ardraka Dundas, Patricia (Pat), James and Amanda Scott, Robert Earl Tiller, Adeesha Haley, (Freddie, II), Michael, Melvin and Kelvin Wright (Commondry) and Levon Darthard, Terrell Dixon, Keisha Johnson, Nimi and Dorian Hannah, Nangwaya Kimbrough, Shani Young, Bakari, Shakir and Thaddeus Hannah; great and great-great grandchildren; brothers, Charles, Cleo, Obie (Evelyn), Roger (Carol), Cleveland and Whitley Merritt; sisters, Bessie Lee, Mary, and Helen; sister-in- law, Lillie Mae Merritt; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

MRS. EVELINA ‘GG’ HOBBS HUDSON
A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Evelina Hobbs Hudson of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2018 will be held Saturday, June 16th at 2 p. m. at Clair Mel First As- sembly, 2415 S. 78th St., Pastors John and Gail Raburn, with Pas- tor Terry Smith, of New Begin- ning Tabernacle M. B. Church, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Evelina Hobbs Hudson, af- fectionately known as “GG”, was born August 18, 1928, in Talla- hassee, Florida to the late LV Hobbs, Sr. and Nellie Miller. Evelina was educated in the Leon County School District. She worked until retirement from St. Joseph’s Hospital after 26 years as a dedicated C. N. A.
She was a faithful member of New Beginning Tabernacle M. B. Church, where she served as a deaconess. Her hobbies in- cluded; sewing, designing/mak- ing jewelry, completing puzzles, teaching her grandchildren, cooking/baking, doing hair, and studying the Word of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Frances Hobbs; husband, Jewell Hudson; son, Herman Lee Bur- rell; brothers, Eddie Miller, Elder LV Hobbs, Jr., and Henry Hobbs, Sr.; sister, Jennetta Madison; and great-grand- daughter, Wynter Bullock.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories with: her daughters, Carolyn Hudson Clark (Ricky), April Arnold (Kouri), and Vanessa Self (Willie), Tasha Clark, and Lato- ria Bullock (Winslow); great- grandchildren, Ashley, Amber, Julian, Wynisha, Wallace, Wylishia, Alyse, Micah, Chris- tian, Aidan, Kaleb, and Kinsley; a very special great-grandson and caregiver, Xavier Self; and a host of other relatives, including nieces, nephews, cousins, and sisters-in-law.

MR. JOHN MICHAEL O’NEAL
A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. John Michael O’Neal of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018 will be held Saturday, June 16th, 11 a. m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Blvd., Pastor Rodney Williams and Pastor Marilynn Williams, officiating. The inter- ment will be in Rest Haven Me- morial Park Cemetery.
Mr. John Michael O’Neal was born March 17, 1966 to Johnny and Louise O’Neal. He attended George W. Monroe, Quincy Middle School, Carter Parramore and graduated from James A. Shanks High School, class of 1984. He served in the military and was a proud vet- eran of the United States Marine Corps.
He was an active and de- voted member of The Kingdom Living Church of God and the Gordnaires Gospel Singers. He was also a loyal, true-hearted, devoted, dedicated Miami Hur- ricane football fan. He moved to Tampa, Florida in 2011 and mar- ried, Barbra Butler in 2012. He loved his wife, and family and was a God-fearing man.
He was preceded in death by: his brother, Jerome O’Neal.

A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Nevada Peacock of Vir- ginia, formerly of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, will be held Friday, June 15th, 1 p. m. at St. John Cathedral, 3401 N. 25th Street, Senior-Pastor Dwight A. Newkirk eulogist with Pastor Tony Parker, presiding.
Nevada was born August 15, 1958 in Tampa, Florida. She at- tended the schools of Hillsbor- ough County. She loved to cook and spend time with her family.
She was preceded in death by: her mother, Catherine Guin- yard; brother, Demetrius Har- rell; aunts, Cora Turner and Idella Lattimore; and uncle, Collin Lattimore.
