Sam shoved on the same clothes that
he had worn the day before from a pile
of unwashed clothes that he had left on
the floor just beside his bed, cleared his
throat and woke himself up quickly
with a glass of water from the sink, ran
out of the house and managed to catch a
night bus nearly immediately from the
nearest bus stop. He got to the city
center in twenty minutes from when he
had put the phone down.
