“Thank you for coming at such short

notice,” said Alex to Sam while

taking the phone away from his ear and

gestured to him to sit down after he had

appeared at his office door.

Sam still didn’t really know exactly

what he could contribute to this, but

Alex said quite purposefully to him.

“Sam could you please just broadly

explain what you saw yesterday, I’ve

already described the problem to him

and the possible scenarios that we can

take. I could try to explain it to him

further, but he wants to hear it from

the horse’s mouth as the old saying

goes.”
