will guide you through the next steps at the arrangement appointment. In order for the process to run as smoothly for you as possible, we encourage you to come prepared to the meeting with the following information about your loved one:
• Their full name and home address
• Their personal health number
• Their social insurance number
• Their date and place of birth
• Their Father’s name and place of birth
• Their Mother’s maiden name and
place of birth
• Their former occupation
• Their chosen place of final disposition
(if applicable)
• Any pre-pay or insurance policy
information (if applicable)
In this first meeting, our directors will provide you with a general price list to give you a basic idea of what our services cost. With this in mind, yourself and the funeral director can make decisions as to how best honour and celebrate your loved one.
You can use this time to communicate your ideas and preferences, share your loved one’s life story, revisit memories, and highlight their accomplishments. Our professionals will use this information to guide you in the creation of a personalized, meaningful honouring of your loved one’s unique journey.
The arrangement process is necessary for us to:
• Receive the information needed to register the death and generate the death certificates
• Scheduling the services and events if required including guiding you with our expertise
• Selecting a casket, urn or jewelry of your choice
• Advise you about obituaries
• Complete the forms to advise the federal government of the death. Our staff will walk you through the process to complete the application, supporting documents, and mail the applications and documents for the CPP death benefit, survivor’s pension
and child benefit.
