This award is presented to a student who has been accepted, remains in good standing, and is pursuing a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine degree.
Jovy Rex-Al Orbon
Class of 2023
Jovy has always had a passion to serve others as demonstrated by his service during his undergraduate years at the University of California, Davis, where he volunteered at
the Willow Clinic and served a vulnerable population. That fueled Jovy’s desire to become a physician. When he started at COMP, he began
volunteering with the Pomona Community Health Action Team (PCHAT) and joined the “Beautiful Experiment” project. His volunteerism allows him to work with not only the vulnerable population in Pomona but also the local students at Palomares Academy of Health Sciences where he helps students with science fair projects, critical thinking, and public speaking skills.

to a student who is caring and compassionate, demonstrates intellectual curiosity and academic achievement, and who is dedicated to serving the community.
Jessica Houghton

  Jessica understands the importance of building a trusting relationship with patients. She has always been intellectually curious, particularly when it came to understanding diseases that affected her or others. Jessica gives back to the community in many ways. She has volunteered at Eisenhower Medical Center and youth who also share a curiosity for
