of Hurricane Katrina. Her passion continues to this day. Kiran has helped care for, and educate,
the underserved communities
in southern California as well as international programs sponsored by “Healing Hearts Across Borders”. Kiran is passionate and dedicated to humanism and volunteerism. She seeks to fully understand her patients and treat them with the care they deserve.
Class of 1989 Award
This award was established by the graduating class of 1989 and is given to a second-year student for their contributions to the morale of the class and their support of the University.
Angel Guan
Class of 2022
If any person embodies the term “morale booster,” it is Angel Guan. Angel not only understands the rigors of medical school, she understands that her classmates are experiencing difficulties beyond what they show on the outside. She puts smiles on her classmates’ faces with encouraging gestures. Angel
once made notes for every one of her classmates before an exam. Writing messages like “It’s going tibia ok” provided a moment of laughter in an otherwise chaotic moment. Her passion for the College and University are exemplified in her recruiting efforts where she works with the Admissions Department to share how wonderful our institution is with prospective students.
