My name is Churnet Winborne. I published my first
book at age thirty-three. I was born and raised in
Washington DC, where I live with my loving par-
ents Thomas and Larice Winborne. My parents
have been my loving support all my life and it is
because of their love and support that I am able to
pursue my dream of being a writer. I was born with
a disability called Cerebral Palsy, which comes from
brain damage and not enough oxygen getting to the
brain during birth. As a result of my disability I'm una-
ble to walk and use a wheelchair to get around and I al-
so stutter when I speak. It is because of my disability and
my love for Jesus Christ that I want to write novels and short stories geared
toward the disabled community. I want to be a voice and inspiration for
them. I honestly hope that everyone who reads my first novel, Pastor Angie
will be touched and inspired and remember that love conquers all.
I refuse to allow my disability keep me from the dreams I have. God has
blessed me with the ability to share stories that are Christ centered. Even
though I may stutter in my speech, I am able to clearly speak to the masses
through the stories God give me. I am a child of God and despite my physi-
cal limitations, I am victorious and moving forward in the gifts, talents and
abilities given to me through my creator.
