Author Marie McGaha

Marie McGaha is an ordained minister, counselor, inspi-
rational speaker, multi-published author, editor, and
publisher. After the death of her first husband, J. Bear
Marler, Marie wrote Dancing With Bear: A Love Story,
which won second place in the prestigious Smart Write
Book Awards sponsored by Mensa. That led her to create
Dancing With Bear Publishing and DWB Children's Line in

Bear's memory.

Up until recently, Marie lived on a farm in Southeast Oklahoma in the beauti-
ful Kiamichi Mountains with her husband, Nathan; but now they reside in
Grangeville, Idaho. She enjoys spending time with her kids and grandkids.
Marie loves serving the Lord and talking about Jesus! She hosts a blog named
"He Reigns" and has a Facebook group called Daughters of the King where she
ministers to women who have dealt with addiction and abuse. She is also the
hosts of "60 Second Scripture," which is a daily scripture video on YouTube.
She is a member of the National Gun Association, NRA, & Soldier's Angels. She
and Nathan are members of The Patriot Guard Riders, and enjoy getting away
on their motorcycle as often as possible.

Marie believes she came out of the womb with a pen in her hand. She can

remember writing stories from the time she learned to make letters and ac-

tually wrote her first book in the 8 grade. She can’t remember the title of
the book, but it told the story of a lady that came from Boston to the wild
Wild West to teach school and fell in love with the town sheriff. She no long-
er has access to this story, but wishes she did because she wanted see how
her 13-year-old mind considered romance. She describes her writing as ec-
lectic. She has had formal training in writing; however, she is gifted with the
ability to develop a story in her mind and just write it. She writes fiction,
non-fiction and Bible self-help books and may need to use various techniques
for the various genres.
