                           Concerns  include…species  selection  in  support  of  biodiversity
                           (and local landscape character) must be  provided…there is too
                           much  ornamental  planting  in  an  essentially  rural  location
                           especially on the site boundary so more focus on native species,
                           beyond witchhazel, is required.”


            3.7     The  original  LVIA  submission  and  accompanying  landscape  strategy  and  planting  schedule
                    made explicit reference to the local landscape character guidance, with a species mix of local
                    provenance  included  within  the  planting  schedule.  Additional  detail  is  provided  within  the

                    Landscape Strategy Principles Document.

            3.8     The species were chosen to specifically respond and support the local landscape character and

                    biodiversity, with a strong focus on native species – particularly within the boundaries of the
                    Site.
