Chasing Quotes Guidelines
**Remember that if you need help with any quote that is Rational, Hobart, Middleby, Robot Coupe
etc. pass the customers details straight to our rep to ask them to push the deal forward and
afterwards chase them for a response. Please also remember your memos – each time a quote is
chased this must be recorded. Also, lease must be offered as an option on every quotation.**
Chase 1) The next day after the quote has been raised.
• Check the customer received the quote.
• Ask how they are getting on with it and if they have any further queries.
• Say you are giving a quick curtesy call to check all okay.
• Is there anything they need to alter on the quotation?
Chase 2) 2 days from chase 1.
• Stock availability – can say we are down to our last 1 or 2.
• Tell them the delivery lead time is faster if they order just now.
• Special offers/ discount – set a date for it running out i.e. 5.30 today.
• Do they need a demo?
• Send a pdf on the product for more details.
Chase 3) 3 days from chase 2.
• Have another go at closing the deal- use any of the above that you have not already used.
• If they do not want to go ahead it is important to find out why. Then feed the information
back to the correct person within Caterkwik.
• If they have got a lower price elsewhere we will do our best to beat it.
