            64 CONSTRICTOR KNOT 64a
            The Constrictor Knot makes
            an extremely useful temporary
whipping or seizing and will hold
            pieces of wood together while
being glued. It is therefore useful
for a wide range of household
            repairs. Each time the knot
is pulled tighter it just holds
            harder, without any slippage.
However, this does make it hard 64b
            to untie after use.
Begin as if making a Clove
Hitch (41) as in 64a, but cross
the working part over and tuck it
under the two parts on the right
as in 64b. Then pull tight (64c).

                                                                64c
