ESSILOR EXPERTS™ PRACTICE WORKSHOP UPDATES
February 2017

With the Workshop training initiative underway for 2017 we have added the top questions
received so far from the field:

WHICH STAFF MEMBERS NEED TO ATTEND?
• The Workshop training has been developed with Optical Staff in mind. Offices should
prioritize those staff members that work in the dispensary and are actively engaged in
the dispensing process with patients. Doctors are welcome to attend.

IS THERE A LIMIT TO HOW MANY STAFF MEMBERS CAN ATTEND?
• In its current design, the capacity of each Workshop is 45 attendees. With that in mind,
and to accommodate as many practices as possible, Optical staff be given the priority
when selecting which of the staff should attend.

• We typically offer two, one-day sessions to help accommodate for practices with larger
Optical staff. In some cases, however, due to local needs we will only have a one-day
session.

MY CUSTOMER WANTS TO SEND THEIR ENTIRE PRACTICE, EVEN THE
BILLING SPECIALIST.
• We love the enthusiasm and appreciate that the customer wants to bring the entire
practice along this Experts journey. However, for the practice to really get the best
value for the time invested, Optical staff should be prioritized for this first level of
Workshop training.

• Make sure to remind your customer that the Office Partnership Training (OPT) is the
training event that is designed for the entire practice. It is a personalized, in-office
training that is built to unite the practice around a common process and objective.
