Gianyar Regent I Made Mahayastra feels happy and proud, one hope and dream have
been achieved, in accordance with the Vision and Mission as Regent of Gianyar, to
have a Bottled Drinking Water Factory can be realized. The AMDK factory being built
is the largest owned by the Gianyar Regency Government, using the latest technology
production equipment. “We should be proud, the AMDK factory equipment that we
built has obtained a new facility inspection certificate towards a Good Process of
Processed Food Production or CPPOB with a Very Good value category (A) and a
Product Certificate for the Use of SNI Marks and Marketing Permits or MD,” said the
Regent Mahayastra.
Regent Mahayastra added that in addition to launching the AMDK “Be Gianyar Mineral
Water” product, the Gianyar Culinary Festival was also held, which is an
implementation of the Mutual Agreement and Cooperation Agreement, between the
Regent of Gianyar and the Indonesian Chef Association or the Gianyar Regional ICA,
together with the Head of the Gianyar Regency PKK Driving Team. Where in the
agreement, a collaboration for the development and empowerment of Gianyar
Culinary is designed for culinary business actors, and the Gianyar community
Regent Mahayastra said that to revive Gianyar Tourism, innovation in various superior
products of Gianyar tourism, must continue to be encouraged. One of the efforts made
is holding a Road Show to all villages and sub-districts including the Tourism Village
in Gianyar Regency. So that the culinary diversity served in the Tourism Village will be
an attractive attraction for tourists who come.
Deputy for Processed Food Supervision of the Republic of Indonesia BPOM, Dra. Rita
Endang., Apt., M.Kes said the village empowerment program is very much in line with
the safe food village program initiated by BPOM. This program also engages and
emphasizes village communities to achieve comprehensive food security. In order to
be able to provide safe, high quality and quality food as well as to become a smart and
conscious consumer of safe food.
Dra. Rita Endang., Apt., M.Kes said that currently Gianyar Regency has 15 processed
food producers registered with BPOM, namely, 1 micro business, 2 small businesses,
10 medium enterprises, and 2 large industries. During 2016 to 2021 BPOM has issued
80 special processed food distribution permits from Gianyar Regency, namely 4 food
products from micro-businesses, 3 food products from small businesses, 69 medium-
sized businesses, and 4 large industries. BPOM supports the Gianyar Regency
Government to develop processed food products. “We appreciate the Gianyar
Government’s efforts to produce safe, quality bottled drinking water for the community
by utilizing local resources,” said Rita Endang.
It can be seen that there are three main activities in this year’s GIFFEST, namely, the
Launching of Bottled Drinking Water “Be Gianyar Mineral Water”, the Gianyar Culinary
Festival, and the Gianyar Culinary Development and Empowerment with a Road Show
to all villages and wards in Gianyar Regency which are organized into one event, so
that Gianyar culinary specialties continue to grow and become a tourist attraction, and
instill in the minds of the Gianyar people that “Be Gianyar Mineral Water is a loyal
friend of Gianyar Culinary” and “Be Gianyar Mineral Water becomes the drinking water
for the Gianyar people”
