FR OM THE DEVEL OPMENT OFFICE

                                Dear Friends,

Thank you for making 2019 yet another remarkable year for the Cleveland Lutheran High School
Association! The close of 2019 marks my first full year as Director of Development, and what a year it
has been. The development team has been hard at work engaging with alumni and donors, organizing
our database records, improving communications, and advancing our online presence.

A goal of ours moving forward is to show our community that philanthropy is about more than
just money. Our vision of philanthropy includes a shared desire and effort betwen the CLHSA and
all of its donors and friends to help our organization reach its full potential as a cornerstone of our
Northeast Ohio Lutheran community. Every day, we witness firsthand what is possible when engaged
donors and leaders come together to build and grow our schools. I look forward to working alongside each of you to make this
           next year another successful one.

The Association has had many recent blessings in the 2018-2019 year, and I’d like to highlight a few.

On Saturday April 13th, 2019, we held Lutheran East’s 16th annual Blue & White Night at the Crawford Auto Museum.
This was a remarkable evening full of fun, festivities, and 175 supporters raising much needed support for the tuition as-
sistance program (The Triumph Fund) at Lutheran East. Overall, the event grossed more than $71,000 to support
           Lutheran East families.

In the spring of 2019, Principal Mike Waugh and I launched the “I Believe in West” campaign to renovate the Lutheran West
Library and Wittrock Gymnasium. Through one on one meetings, phone calls, and a mailing to alumni and friends we were
able to gain the support of over 130 individuals. Along with successfully raising the funds for the projects, we were blessed
to be able to spend time connecting with donors and friends of the association. We look forward to showcasing the finished
renovations at an event this fall.

In the 2018-2019 fiscal year we raised over $120,000.00 in tuition assistance for both of our schools through
The Triumph Fund, our tuition assistance program that provides valuable financial support for deserving families. This past July,
we invited our sustaining Triumph Fund Members (members who make an annual commitment of $500 or more) to join us
for an appreciation event. Triumph Fund members and guests toured Progressive Field followed by lunch at the Hofbräuhaus.
We want thank our current sustaining members and all donors who continue to support students through The Triumph Fund.

On Monday, August 26th, 2019, the Association held its 33rd annual CLHSA Golf Classic at Westwood Country Club. It was
a spirited event of nearly 100 alumni and friends. All proceeds from the golf outing benefit our tuition assistance program
(The Triumph Fund). We want to once again thank our generous sponsors and golfers for a successful event.

We know none of this – our longevity, our Lutheran high schools, our impact – would be possible without your support.
This report is a testament to your generosity, compassion, and inspiring commitment to building and strengthening our ministry.

Together, we are providing an excellent education experience for students in a Christ-centered environment.

           Thank you again,

           ASHLEY K O ZA ,
           CLHSA DIRECTOR OF DEVELOP MENT
