Employee EAP Program


                An employee assistance program (EAP) is a work-based intervention program designed to identify and
                assist employees in resolving personal problems (e.g., marital, financial or emotional problems; family
                issues; substance/alcohol abuse). The plan may also include a wide array of other services, such as
                nurse advice telephone access, basic legal assistance and referrals, adoption assistance, or assistance
                finding elder care services. EAP services are usually made available to the employee’s spouse, children
                and non-marital partner living in the same household as the employee.

                Enhanced EAP – Six Face to Face Sessions:

                Basic EAP services include:

                      •  Toll-free, 24-hour consultation and referral
                      •  Free face-to-face counseling with a conveniently located licensed provider for employees and
                         their families
                      •  Legal and financial referral and consultations, including mediation, for most issues
                      •  Unlimited use of the EAP website to locate work/life resources such as child and elder care
                      •  A robust EAP website with articles, tools, links, podcasts, Ask an Expert and special search
                         capabilities
                      •  Employee orientation webcast
                      •  Implementation and ongoing communications materials to inform your workforce about
                         Anthem’s EAP

                Enhanced EAP includes the above Basic services, plus:

                      •  Unlimited telephone consultations for managers and supervisors
                      •  Workplace trauma response
                      •  Supervisor and manager trainings
                      •  Employee wellness workshops
                      •  Unlimited management referrals, including case management and post-treatment follow-up
                      •  Substance abuse policy recommendations and consultation
                      •  Periodic utilization reports
                      •  On-site critical incidence services and resiliency training
                      •  Telephone access to a work/life specialist for consultation

                      •  Access to myStrength, an online and mobile app to support emotional wellbeing
