LIMB INJURIES AND THE BIOMECHANICS OF

    RUNNING THROUGH MOTIONMETRIX AND

    MACHINE LEARNING

    ABSTRACT

    RESEARCH BACKGROUND
This research project aims to explore the connection between lower limb injuries and
the biomechanics of running using MotionMetrix technology and machine learning.
Understanding the relationship between biomechanics and running-related injuries is
crucial for injury prevention and performance enhancement. WONG CHI YUEN

    METHODOLOGY

This study proposes the use of cutting-edge MotionMetrix technology, which offers BSocSc (Hons) in Sports and
                                                                                 Recreation Management

are employed to process the MotionMetrix data, including kinematic and kinetic Department of Sport and Recreation
information. These algorithms can identify motion patterns that effectively predict the
    risk of lower limb injuries.
There are assumptions and limitations in this study. This study assumes the accuracy
of motion analysis data and relies on the information provided by the participants on OBJECTIVES
their injuries related to running. This study focuses on adult runners running on flat
and stable surfaces and specifically examines the lower limb injuries. Traditional biomechanical analysis
