Mr Savov continued with introducing
On the 4 June 2026 at 13:00 hrs the the guests from abroad, Bronwen Casey

general exhibition of all Bulgarian laureates and Ioannis Lykouris. He also spoke
of FIAP Distinctions for 2025 concluded with with gratitude about APB founder Mrs.
Kyurkchieva and all those who over the
an official FINISSAGE. This international event, years have built the international image of
holding an annual exhibition for distinction Bulgarian photography around the world
recipients from Bulgaria each year, is already a
tradition.
The host of the event and ceremony again
were the Academy of Photography Bulgaria (APB)
and its chairman Anton Savov. He introduced the
official guests of the event from abroad; Bronwen
Casey, EFIAP/d1, PFIAP, HonEFIAP, from Australia
and Ioannis Lykouris, EFIAP/p, PFIAP, MFIAP,
HonEFIAP, from Greece. With their presence, Mr. Lykouris continued with a speech
they brought the necessary significance and

international tone to this important exhibition

Later, Mr. Lykouris spoke briefly about the
good and lifelong relationship and partnership
between FIAP and APB and for all the emotions surrounding the events like this. Mrs. Casey also said
some words about the exciting FIAP life via many contests around the world and, thanks to this visit
in Plovdiv, a possibility to be judge in the current FIAP contest in the city. She also indicated what
a pleasure and honour it was to announce the Bulgarian FIAP laureates for last year. The ceremony
continued with the presentation of their FIAP distinction to each of them. The FIAP Distinctions items,
(pins, certificates, FIAP Cards and stickers) were handed out by both FIAP officials and everyone was
extremely grateful for the high honour. Emil Enchev and Mihail Damyanov each received their AFIAP.
The grand culmination of the event was the highest FIAP Distinction for year 2025 in Bulgaria; an
EFIAP/silver, which was awarded
to the laureate Dimo Hristev.

APB issued and presented
the FIAP guests with appreciation
certificates for their support for
this important annual event and
exhibition. A thank you certificate
was also given to Michele Macinai,
EFIAP/p, ESFIAP from Italy, who
was also invited, but unfortunately
was unable to join the event. Mr. Savov opening the celebration ceremony and welcoming all
other event guests with a smile and open hands
