Currently, FPSI oversees 40 photography clubs across 20 cities in Indonesia, with thousands of
members. Approximately 25 percent of these are student photography clubs, reflecting the strong
presence of young people within the organisational structure and system in place within the FPSI.
In the long term, the festival is expected to serve as a gateway for young Indonesian photographers
to enter the international stage, while strengthening Indonesia’s position in the global photography
scene. IIYPF 2026 represents one such effort, positioning photography as a medium of expression,
reflection, and global connection.
