 Mr. Ioannis Lykouris, in his inaugural address, reflected on how photography stands at a crossroads   Mr. Sankha Kar shared his generative AI project retelling Tagore’s “Subha,” arguing that the power of
 between tradition and innovation in this era of AI. Then Mr. Himadri Sekhar Dutta wrapped up the   AI flourishes as is driven by human intent. The day closed with a Scientific Magic Show hosted by BITM.

 After a short break for high tea, the audience was treated to a captivating dance performance by
 Ms. Moumita Basak and her troupe.

 The conference resumed on January 24  with Mrs. Sheila Dansant chairing the opening session.

 After a brief introduction of the delegates Mr. Himadri Sekhar Dutta engaged with the audience to
 discuss the decline in student enrolment across the world at photography institutions since Covid.

 The Second Session, World in Vision, was chaired by Mr. Simon Hill and moderated by Dr. Jaydeep
 Rishi. Hill argued that photography’s power today comes from its blending with other arts and its
 spread across the digital world, drawing on thinkers like Benjamin, Barthes, and Sontag. Mr. Ovi D.
 Pop presented his conceptual project “The Four Seasons,” using drone shots of a Romanian chapel to
 explore how the changing landscape marks the passing of time.  Prof (Dr). Debashis De

         The Fourth Session on Scientific and Technical papers was held on the morning of January 25 ,

     chaired by Dr. Abhoy Nath Ganguly and moderated by Mr. Mrinal K Bandyopadhya. Mr. Asim Poddar
     presented on digital photomicrography and its role in cell biology.
         Mr. Utsab Ray and Dr. Karabi Ganguly demonstrated MATLAB-based image analysis for early
     leukaemia detection.

 The  Third Session focused on Artificial Intelligence, chaired by Mr. Ioannis Lykouris and   presenting his paper on
 moderated by Dr. Abhoy Nath Ganguly. Lykouris weighed AI’s promise of creativity and efficiency   Digital Photomicrography
 against worries about authenticity, reiterating FIAP’s firm stance against AI-generated content.
 Prof. Debashis De discussed the risks to privacy in AI data ecosystems and advocated for blockchain-
 based decentralised intelligence.
