Activity: Great Shake Out! (Experiential learning about the natural disasters.)
“Give a pupil something to do, not something to learn; and doing is of such a nature as
to demand thinking; learning naturally results”
The activity was conducted with the available resources. The aim of the activity was to
help them understand the effects of natural disasters and their impact. This in turn make
us knowledgeable about such events in order to be prepared and make the world a

better place.
The activity came as a surprise to the students when they were asked to bring few things
from kitchen and outside. They were very quick in procuring all the things that were

asked. The hailstorm started when they were asked to blow off everything with a great
force. After this small catastrophe, their response was gathered and it came as a
realization that we need to act now to avoid future disasters.
