PDG President’s Closing Remarks
From: PDG Clarence R. A. Higgins,
President, PDG Association
To: The Lions and Leos of District 20-K1
Greetings:
You have always answered the call to serve with humility. On behalf of the PDGs, I
salute you for reaching out to those in need in our communities. In addition, you pro-
vided much needed supplies and support to the Frontline Workers, as they cared for
patients during the un-precedented rampage of the “Corona Virus.” I applaud you for
your dedication and commitment to service.
District 20-K1 is ecstatic as history unfolds in front of us! There is an air of tangible expectancy and jubilance as we
wait for the election and installation of First International Vice President, Douglas X. Alexander as President of Lions
Clubs International. We continue to lift him up and pray that he remains in good health and is favored with a double
portion of wisdom. I thank you for supporting the fundraising events that will lead us into an extraordinary celebration.
Congratulations to the 2021 - 2022 leadership team with DGE Anthony Cochran, 1 .VDG Elect Ingrid Andrews-
st
Campbell and 2 . VDG Elect Antonio Robles. The PDGs wish them much success in the new Lionistic Year.
nd
An English proverb says, “All good things must come to an end “ ,and the curtain will soon be closed on my tenure as
the President of 20-K1 PDG Association. The journey has been a priceless, wonderful, and exciting experience. The
dedication and support received from my fellow PDGs contributed to our success. Let me first express a sincere “Thank
You!” to PDG Leroy Foster who provided us the opportunity to hold our meetings via “Zoom” and sustain our
accountability.
I congratulate all this year’s honorees, especially the recipients of the MD 20 PDG Leadership Award and the PDGs
Earl and Ruth Williams Leadership Award. I look forward to the announcement of the Leo Leadership awardee. I com-
pliment the team that updated the District Constitution and By-Laws to include a Procedure Manual for Technology and
Communication.
The PDGs are always available to provide whatever support is needed. Stay Safe.
“Kindness Matter” as “We Serve”.
Yours in Lionism,
PDG Clarence R.A. Higgins,
President, Past District Governors Association
2020 - 2021
