Register by March 1, 2018 and the fee is only $50 ($75 for Lions who are or have been Vice-Governor or above) and
$100 after March 1st.
*The first 100 Lions who register, and have never been a VDG or above, will have their March 17th lodging paid by the Institute. Register today. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have been visiting and helping clubs who are not fulfilling their Chartered obligation to report their Membership numbers and Club Activities. The main reasons for
this lack of reporting are being unaware of the obligation and not knowing how.
That is why we train club Secretaries at Lions University each year. If you didn’t
make it and need help, email me at fred.conger@verizon.net and the GLT will
get you some help. (Continued page 4)

THANKFUL FOR LEADERSHIP AND SERVICE
The duties and responsibilities of the GMT are serious and important to the on-going success of District 2X-1, just as those duties and responsibilities of the GMT’s in every district around the world are to the success of Lionism worldwide. We must never lose sight of our commitment to the service we have pledged to mankind everywhere.
With that having been said, I want to encourage you to pause with me for just a moment of reflection on the leadership and service we are fortunate to have in the person of District Governor Henry White. Governor White spent several days in the hospital recently to undergo a serious surgical procedure and post-operative recovery before being released. He is still recovering. Our Governor deserves our prayers and support as he begins to return to normal life more fit and able - since his surgery was successful.
This occasion is a fitting reminder of how fortunate we are to have the benefit of capable, benevolent and good heart-ed Lions, like Governor Henry White, in positions of leadership being willing to dedicate themselves to service. Take a moment to let Governor Henry know how much we appreciate him.
And, Governor, continued good health and success in your important role as our leader.
